Support Spotlight on Carolina Insurriaga
“Always willing to go above and beyond.” That’s how Kristy Bauer, BCBA and Assistant Director at ABS describes her coworker Carolina Insurriaga. “She really cares about the BCBAs and the clients as well.” A former Authorizations team member, when Carolina saw a gap in quickly completing insurance coverage authorizations for patients, Kristy says she just jumped back in to help, even though she was no longer in the Authorizations department. Carolina’s initiative meant all the difference in the ABA treatment process. Without completed authorizations, families would not receive services, Behavior Technicians would not be able to provide one on one treatment, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts would not be able to provide supervision. Carolina’s positive intervention meant that the whole team could keep providing services to patients.
Carolina says that when BCBAs reach out to her she is always happy to help because she sees the connection between her work and the ability to provide ABA therapy to patients. She adds “I am really happy in the position that I am in, helping and growing with the company.” Carolina joined the ABS team in September of 2018 and has grown within the company from benefits, to billing and returning to Authorizations and Benefits as a Team Lead.
