Milena Suarez: A Budding Leader in Autism Care
To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, we are excited to highlight one of our own – Milena Suarez, a dedicated BCBA at ABS Kids who is becoming a leader in autism care through her commitment to inclusivity and excellence in applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. Milena’s passion for culturally responsive care is impacting our families and the autism community at large and overseas.
Milena recently shared her insights on improving autism care in a powerful episode of our Autism Weekly podcast. In this episode, Milena discusses her vision for autism care and the role ABA plays in transforming the lives of children and families, particularly within underserved communities. Her dedication to ensuring that care is accessible to all, regardless of language or background, has driven her to advocate for better translation and interpretation services through the DEIB Committee at ABS Kids.
Milena also authored a recent blog post about her time with the Global Autism Project. She was also the debut guest for our What’s Your Wow? video series, where she shared inspiring stories about our ABS Kids families.
Milena’s leadership and vision are helping to shape a more inclusive future at ABS Kids and in autism care. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we are proud to highlight the contributions of individuals like Milena, who are making a lasting difference through their advocacy and passion for accessible care.
